About HIPPO POWER SOLUTIONS

HIPPO POWER SOLUTIONS provides power engineering for industrial, commercial and mission-critical facilities across Egypt. We work across generation, fuel, control, protection, low- and medium-voltage distribution and transformers, with one accountable team from survey to commissioning and maintenance.

FIVE SERVICE FAMILIES

Our Services

Each service page explains the typical scope, the engineering interfaces involved, and what is agreed after a site survey.

Technician checking a generator set with a multimeter and tablet

Generator Services

Preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, load testing, installation and commissioning for standby and prime-power applications.

Engineers inspecting fuel transfer pumps, piping and a control panel beside a generator

Fuel Systems

Supply and installation of bulk and day tanks, transfer pumps, piping, filtration, leak detection, level monitoring and automatic fuel-control systems.

Engineer inspecting wiring inside a low-voltage switchboard

Low-Voltage Panels

Engineering and supply of synchronisation (SYNC), PDP, MCC and ATS panels with metering, protection, load sharing and mains-parallel control.

Engineer performing relay testing on medium-voltage switchgear with a test set

MV Switchgear

Maintenance, breaker service, protection-relay testing, secondary injection, functional verification and commissioning of medium-voltage switchgear.

Two engineers testing an oil-filled power transformer outdoors

Transformers

Installation, receiving inspection, insulation-resistance and turns-ratio testing, protection checks, commissioning and energisation support.

HOW WE ENGINEER AND VERIFY

Engineering Capabilities

Services describe what you can engage us for. Capabilities describe how the work is engineered and checked.

  1. Survey and load definition

Site loads, operating modes, existing equipment and constraints are recorded before scope is fixed.

  2. Operating philosophy

How sources, transfer, paralleling and load priorities should behave is defined before control and panel design.

  3. Protection and interlocks

Relay logic, interlocks and trip philosophy are reviewed together with the equipment they protect.

  4. Testing and records

Testing is planned against agreed acceptance criteria, and results are documented for handover.

SYSTEM-LEVEL ENGINEERING

Integrated Power Systems Engineering

The engineering challenge is usually the interface between generators, utility incomers, protection, fuel, LV/MV distribution, transformers and critical loads — not each item of equipment on its own.

Generator-to-generator paralleling

Sequencing, active (kW) and reactive (kVAr) load sharing and load-dependent start/stop.

Transfer and mains paralleling

Open-transition and closed-transition transfer, and sustained parallel operation where the design and approvals allow it.

Island and black-start operation

Defined recovery sequences for sites that must restore power without the utility supply.

Testing and commissioning

FAT, SAT and functional testing, with documented handover.

FROM REQUIREMENT TO RELIABLE OPERATION

Our Process

  1. Consultation & survey

We define loads, operating modes, constraints and system interfaces.

  2. Design & engineering

We coordinate equipment, controls, protection and documentation for the agreed scope.

  3. Supply & installation

We supply and install the agreed package and coordinate interfaces with other trades.

  4. Testing & support

We test, commission and hand over, and support the system in operation.
